Hello,
These are my details :
I-140 -> Jul 07
I -485 -> Aug 07
I -140 Denied in may 08. There was no appeal no MTR
I-485 shows pending
New I 140 was filed in Jun 08, we got receipt information.
On that A# is same as the A# issued for I-485
Questions:
a) Is my I-485 still valid?
b) Is it tied to new I-140 we filed?
c) Can I renew my EAD and AP if I 485 is valid?
d) How to check all the 3 above?

My wife is working for US firm on L2 VISA (EAD).
The employer is ready to sponsor her GC. We wanted to know what is the process for L2 candidate , will it be same starting from Labor .... or we can skip labor and make use of current L2 EAD to file I-485 directly ?
Nope...she has to start with Labor and apply for a 140 in either EB3 or EB2 categories. Only L-1A visa holders are eligible to skip labor and apply in the EB1 category.

I applied for L1 to H1 Conversion, but i am planning to travle to India from July 23 and will be back to US on 13th Aug.
Can I travle outside US after applying for conversion. Need some one to response ASAP

I have an approved labor and I-140 (EB2) with a PD of Aug 03, since USCIS guideline says that the demand for EB2 India seems to exceed the supply of GCs, I am not sure how much longer it will take for my PD to be current.
My company has a approved labor (EB2) with PD of 2002 (with job requirements matching my qualifications). I have the following questions:
1. Can I apply for premium processing for the I-140 stage with the substituted labor?
2. If not, does it take longer to process I-140 with substituted labor than the normal case?
3. if I can get the labor with 2002 PD, can my company give my labor to someone else (especially since my I-140 is already approved with that labor)

Wife need to go to India for emergency. Advance Parole expired. Can she already leave while I apply AP now ? Or does she have to be in country until we get it ? Can i apply now and send it to her once i get it here ?

Hi, I keep seeing people referring to their cover letter when they applied for green card.

Where can i get photos for the Canadian visa. they have different specs. from the US pp photograph. I have already checked- Costco, USPS and the other stores.

Can someone give me the site where i can get the current processing dates for PERM?
The Labour certification is going to be filed this month end, in that case how long i have to wait to file I140?
Also i heared that I140 and 485 can be filed together.
Is that true? if so what is required from my side to the attorney for those two stages.

Out of luck ... You won't be able to refile it if your PD is not current.

"The check or money order should be made payable to the Department of
Homeland Security except:
--If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing this
application freely, make your check or money order
payable to the ''Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin
Islands.''
--If you live in Guam and are filing this application there,
make your check or money order payable to the
''Treasurer, Guam.''
Good luck in re-filing!
