Not at this point. The time frame will probably be from when they announce the release date at WWDC in early June until the actual release if they don't announce a date at that time, it will be whenever they announce a date. Once they have told people when it is coming out, they don't want to hurt sales, so they offer the new OS.
Anyone buying from this past Tuesday until that announcement is not eligible for anything less than what anyone else would pay.
I ordered my new iMac yesterday but it will not even ship until 20 June with estimated delivery date of 25 June - if Lion is announced before they've even shipped it, what do you think then?

When I look at the depreciation of MBP, it is much worse than a MP. For example, 2008 models of MP have depreciated by about ~50%, while MBP have depreciated ~75% for similar price starting price point of the computers.

Basically, it doesn't sound too good. It might sound better with high impedance cans. I have some akg k77 and the output on my macbook sound pretty bad compared to my external soundcard.
I don't think you'll get trouble with getting enough volume out of it with high impedance headphones as the output can go ridiculously high so I don't think that would be a problem even with high impedance cans.

Thanks gents, the flowchart is a nice start i guess :) It's the kind of thing that I was looking for, although very simplified, basically some thing that guides you in a way I.e. Logo is trying to emote felling x, try using font y - or something like that

Just wanted to say that I am running a Developer Preview of Mac OS X Lion and it is pretty cool. There are a few bugs here and there but otherwise it works great. Has all the features that they Demoed in the Keynote in October (those are the big ones) they also changed the look of all the buttons (They look cool and more modern because the buttons have been the same since 10.0)
If anyone wants to ask me anything about it I will be happy to answer any questions

Not quite that stinky - the warmer waters in the gulf just provide more energy to the hurricanes themselves. So where before we might have seen C1 or C2 hurricanes they might gain significant energy to be C3-C5.
In other parts of the country, global warming is equated more with a change in seasonal weather patterns, but the sea temperatures and more importantly the arctic areas have dramatically increased. The poles have seen more change than anywhere else and what's going to happen when ever more permafrost mets is quite scary.

Ive let it run down completely a couple times before but i havent had any visible changes. I could try lowering the brightness and turning off the push notifications. It still should'nt go down 5% battery for just a facebook update.

Spymac last night posted saying no new hardware @ the Apple expo! Looks like the DP Powerbook is out of the question :)

I took a 1TB external (the small form factor model from WD), created two partitions on it, then installed Lion on one of the two partitions. It runs remarkably well, albeit just a tad slow in some aspects, but I have no major issues and it even goes to sleep! I was unable to install iStat Menus 2 (the last free version), some of the previously-installed apps from the Mac App Store (installed on my internal HDD), or use iProxy, but I really, really like Lion and can't wait for it to be released.
I ran Geekbench and, while I didn't expect a great score, only scored 3661 on a late-2008 MacBook Pro (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 6 GB RAM). I'll just put that down to Lion being installed on an external USB2 device.
One thing I really liked was that when you download an app from the Mac App Store, instead of the app being installed in your dock, Launchpad is invoked and the app gets "installed" there.

I loved the Sony Trinitron tube they used, compared to the el-cheapo Performa 580 which used cheaper tubes.

I have a Super Disk drive. It's like ZIP disks, only they're 120MB. It's USB and something else which might be SCSI. I could include 5+ 120MB Superdisks. This drive will also read 1.44MB Floppy Disks. The drive itself is an IMATION Super Disk Drive and is clear in color.
